يشارك المنتخب السعودي للرياضيات في النسخة 67 من أولمبياد الرياضيات الدولي (IMO 2026) بمدينة شنغهاي الصينية، خلال الفترة من 10 إلى 21 يوليو، ممثلاً المملكة بستة طلبة موهوبين جرى تأهيلهم عبر برامج تدريبية مكثفة نظمتها مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع «موهبة» بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم. جاء إعداد الطلبة عبر مسار تدريبي متدرج بدأ من أولمبياد العلوم والرياضيات الوطني «نسمو»، مروراً بملتقيات تخصصية، وصولاً إلى تدريب مكثف استمر قرابة شهرين بإشراف خبراء محليين ودوليين، لضمان جاهزية الطلبة الستة لخوض المنافسة العالمية. يخوض المشاركون اختبارين على مدى يومين، يتضمن كل منهما ثلاث مسائل رياضية عالية الصعوبة في مجالات الهندسة والجبر والتركيبات ونظرية الأعداد، ضمن مدة زمنية تبلغ أربع ساعات ونصف لكل اختبار، ما يتطلب قدرات استثنائية في التفكير التحليلي والإبداعي. تعكس مشاركة المملكة في هذا المحفل العلمي العالمي التزامها برعاية الموهوبين وتمكينهم، وتعزيز حضورها في مجالات العلوم والمعرفة والابتكار، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية 2030. كما تأتي امتداداً لمسيرة بدأت عام 2003 حين شاركت المملكة لأول مرة بصفة مراقب علمي، قبل أن تواصل حضورها وتطور مشاركاتها في هذه المنافسة الدولية العريقة.

The Saudi mathematics team is participating in the 67th edition of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2026) in Shanghai, China, from July 10 to 21, representing the Kingdom with six talented students who have been qualified through intensive training programs organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The preparation of the students followed a gradual training path that began with the National Science and Mathematics Olympiad "Nasma", passing through specialized forums, and culminating in an intensive training period of nearly two months under the supervision of local and international experts, to ensure the readiness of the six students to compete on a global level. The participants will undergo two tests over two days, each consisting of three highly difficult mathematical problems in the fields of geometry, algebra, combinatorics, and number theory, within a time frame of four and a half hours for each test, which requires exceptional analytical and creative thinking abilities. The Kingdom's participation in this global scientific event reflects its commitment to nurturing and empowering gifted individuals and enhancing its presence in the fields of science, knowledge, and innovation, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030. This participation also continues a journey that began in 2003 when the Kingdom first participated as a scientific observer, before continuing to enhance its presence and develop its participation in this prestigious international competition.
