- ما أجمل الفوز، وما أروع أن تُسعد شعباً بأكمله! خرجت مصر؛ كبارها وصغارها، ليتنفسوا الفرح ويحتفلوا بالعبور التاريخي إلى دور الستة عشر بعد الإطاحة بأستراليا، في ليلة امتدت أفراحها حتى خيوط الصباح الأولى.

- مصر.. «أم الدنيا» كما يعشق أهلها تسميتها، الأرض الولادة التي أهدت العالم عباقرة لا يطويهم الزمن؛ من سحر روايات نجيب محفوظ، وشدو أم كلثوم، وعندليبها عبد الحليم، إلى أمير الشعراء أحمد شوقي، ومشرط الإنسانية مجدي يعقوب.. قائمة العظماء تطول وتطول، والمعذرة من كل رمز لم تتسع السطور لذكر اسمه.

- في السعودية، غمرتنا فرحة عارمة تماهت مع أفراح مصر والمغرب، وهو شعور عربي أصيل وغير مستغرب؛ فما يربطنا بمصر وبكل شبر عربي هو رباط الدم وأخوة المصير الصادقة.

- لقد استمتعنا بملحمة كروية جسدها أبطال الفراعنة بأداء رجولي رفيع، تفانى فيه النجم العالمي محمد صلاح، الذي تحامل على إصابته ليعزف «مباراة العمر»، مستدعياً كل خبرات السنين ليضعها في خدمة قميص بلاده.

- وعلى خطى الإنجاز، تبرز حكاية مصرية ملهمة بطلها «التوأم» حسام وإبراهيم حسن. ذانك الرجلان اللذان واجها حرباً شرسة وتشكيكاً واسعاً عند تعيينهما لقيادة الفراعنة، فما كان منهما إلا أن قدما الرد في الملعب. صاغا «حدوتة» مبهجة ببساطتهما العفوية؛ لم يستعرضا خلف المايكروفونات ولم ينمّقا الكلمات، بل كان نبضهما واحداً: إسعاد الجماهير التي زحفت خلفهما من كل فج عميق، ليتحول الملعب وكأنه استاد القاهرة الدولي بجلاله وهيبته.

- منذ بدايات المونديال، كتبت مقالاً توقعت فيه أن يبلغ منتخبا مصر والمغرب أبعد نقطة في البطولة؛ نظير ما يملكه الطرفان من نضج فني وتكتيكي. واليوم، يرسم المصريون لوحة كروية باهرة، نجح فيها المدرب القدير حسام حسن في توظيف أدواته بذكاء، معاملاً الجميع بمسطرة العدل؛ مع منح النجم محمد صلاح تقديره المستحق الذي فرضته سنوات النجومية.

- إن سر قوة الكرة المصرية، يكمن في ذلك المعين الذي لا ينضب من المواهب الشابة في الأزقة والأندية والأكاديميات، مواهب تمتلك العزيمة لتثبت ذاتها في أعرق الحواضن الأوروبية.

- أمامنا الآن ماراثون كروي مهيب يجمع أهل الكنانة بـ «ميسي» ورفاقه. فوز الفراعنة ليس بعيد المنال، وطموحنا يعانق السماء. كلي تفاؤل بأن صلاح ورفاقه ستكون لهم الكلمة العليا، وسيسجلون انتصاراً تاريخياً يزلزل بطل العالم.

- ستبقى مصر حكاية جمال لا تنتهي، ومجداً عصياً على النسيان.. أم الدنيا بأهلها الكرام، وروحها العذبة، وظلها الخفيف الذي يطبع أثره في قلب كل من مر بحاراتها أو ارتوى من نيلها العظيم.

- How beautiful is victory, and how wonderful it is to bring joy to an entire nation! Egypt, both young and old, came out to breathe in happiness and celebrate the historic advancement to the Round of Sixteen after defeating Australia, in a night whose celebrations extended until the first light of dawn.

- Egypt... "Mother of the World," as its people love to call it, the birthplace that has gifted the world with geniuses who are not forgotten by time; from the enchanting tales of Naguib Mahfouz, and the melodies of Umm Kulthum, and her nightingale Abdel Halim, to the Prince of Poets Ahmed Shawqi, and the scalpel of humanity Magdi Yacoub... the list of greats goes on and on, and apologies to every symbol whose name could not be mentioned due to space constraints.

- In Saudi Arabia, we were overwhelmed with a joyous feeling that blended with the celebrations of Egypt and Morocco, a genuine and unsurprising Arab sentiment; for what binds us to Egypt and every inch of Arab land is the bond of blood and sincere brotherhood of destiny.

- We enjoyed a football epic embodied by the Pharaohs with a high-level heroic performance, in which the global star Mohamed Salah persevered despite his injury to play the "match of a lifetime," calling upon all his years of experience to serve his country's jersey.

- Following the path of achievement, an inspiring Egyptian story emerges, starring the "twins" Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan. These two men faced fierce opposition and widespread skepticism when appointed to lead the Pharaohs, yet they responded on the field. They crafted a delightful "tale" with their spontaneous simplicity; they did not showcase behind microphones nor embellish their words, but their heartbeat was one: to bring joy to the fans who flocked behind them from every deep valley, transforming the stadium as if it were the Cairo International Stadium in all its grandeur and majesty.

- Since the beginning of the World Cup, I wrote an article predicting that the teams of Egypt and Morocco would reach the farthest point in the tournament, given the maturity both sides possess in terms of technical and tactical skills. Today, Egyptians are painting a dazzling football picture, successfully employing the capable coach Hossam Hassan's tools with intelligence, treating everyone with a measure of justice; while giving star Mohamed Salah the recognition he deserves, which has been earned over years of stardom.

- The secret of the strength of Egyptian football lies in that inexhaustible source of young talents in the alleys, clubs, and academies, talents that possess the determination to prove themselves in the most prestigious European arenas.

- Ahead of us now is a majestic football marathon that brings the people of the Nile together with "Messi" and his companions. The victory of the Pharaohs is within reach, and our ambitions touch the sky. I am fully optimistic that Salah and his teammates will have the upper hand, and they will achieve a historic victory that will shake the world champion.

- Egypt will remain an endless tale of beauty, and a glory that is hard to forget... Mother of the World, with its noble people, its sweet spirit, and its gentle shade that leaves its mark in the heart of everyone who has walked its streets or quenched their thirst from its great Nile.
