رغم الانفجار الذي أعاد تسليط الضوء على تحديات صناعة الفضاء، تتمسك وكالة الفضاء الأمريكية «ناسا» بخططها الطموحة للعودة إلى القمر، مؤكدة أن أحد أهم مشاريعها المستقبلية يسير وفق الجدول المحدد، في خطوة تمثل اختبارًا حاسمًا لطموح الولايات المتحدة بإعادة البشر إلى سطح القمر بعد غياب عقود.

أكد مدير ناسا جاريد إسحاقمان أن مهمة «أرتميس 3» تسير وفق الجدول الزمني المخطط له، مشيرًا إلى أن الأنظمة الرئيسية مثل صاروخ SLS ومركبة أوريون تحقق تقدمًا مطردًا، وذلك خلال مشاركته في معرض فارنبورو الدولي للطيران في لندن.

وتأتي تصريحات إسحاقمان لتؤكد استمرار جهود ناسا في برنامجها الطموح للعودة إلى القمر، بعد عقود من آخر هبوط بشري على سطحه.

ويأتي هذا التأكيد بعد أسابيع من تعرض صاروخ غير مأهول تابع لشركة «بلو أوريجن» لانفجار أثناء اختبار على منصة الإطلاق في مايو الماضي، وهو الحادث الذي أثار تساؤلات حول جاهزية بعض مكونات البرنامج، لكنه لم يغيّر، بحسب ناسا، الجدول الزمني للمهمة.

تمثل «أرتميس 3» خطوة محورية في برنامج العودة إلى القمر، حيث ستنطلق أربعة رواد على متن «أوريون» لإجراء اختبارات متقدمة في مدار الأرض المنخفض، بما في ذلك تجارب الالتحام والرسو مع نماذج أولية لمركبات الهبوط القمري التي تطورها «سبيس إكس» و«بلو أوريجن».

ولا تقتصر أهداف البرنامج على مجرد العودة إلى القمر، بل تسعى ناسا من خلال «أرتميس» إلى بناء وجود بشري أكثر استدامة على سطحه، تمهيدًا لمهمات فضائية أبعد مستقبلًا، بما في ذلك الاستعداد لرحلات مأهولة نحو المريخ.

Despite the explosion that has brought attention back to the challenges of the space industry, the American space agency "NASA" remains committed to its ambitious plans to return to the Moon, confirming that one of its most important future projects is proceeding on schedule, in a move that represents a critical test of the United States' ambition to return humans to the lunar surface after decades of absence.

Nasa Administrator Jared Isaacman, during his participation in the Farnborough International Airshow in London, confirmed that the "Artemis 3" mission is still on track for implementation, explaining that the core systems overseen by the agency, including the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the "Orion" spacecraft, are making progress according to the established plans.

This confirmation comes weeks after an uncrewed rocket belonging to "Blue Origin" exploded during a test on the launch pad last May, an incident that raised questions about the readiness of some components of the program, but did not change, according to NASA, the timeline for the mission.

"Artemis 3" is a key milestone within the program to return to the Moon, as it will see four astronauts sent aboard the "Orion" spacecraft to conduct advanced tests in low Earth orbit, including docking and landing operations with prototypes of lunar landers being developed by "SpaceX" and "Blue Origin".

The program's goals are not limited to merely returning to the Moon; NASA aims, through "Artemis," to establish a more sustainable human presence on its surface, paving the way for future space missions, including preparations for crewed flights to Mars.
