HONG KONG — The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha held several meetings at the LEAP East conference to strengthen partnerships with Hong Kong in artificial intelligence and technological innovation.

Minister Al-Swaha held a series of bilateral meetings to strengthen technology partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong and to expand cooperation in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and the development of innovation ecosystems.

As part of the meetings, Al-Swaha met with Hong Kong's Secretary for Innovation, Technology, and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, to discuss prospects for cooperation in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and the development of innovation ecosystems between the two sides.

He also met with Cordelia Chung, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP). They discuss opportunities for cooperation to empower startups and develop national talent pathways in emerging technology fields.

Al-Swaha also held talks with Dr. Xu Li, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SenseTime, to discuss advanced artificial intelligence applications and opportunities to deploy them across vital sectors.

The project is meant to enhance technological innovation and open new avenues for high-value partnerships in the digital economy.
