أعلن مسؤول أمريكي رفيع أن الولايات المتحدة تعتبر الحصول على اليورانيوم الإيراني عالي التخصيب الموجود تحت المنشآت التي تعرضت للقصف شرطاً أساسياً لإبرام أي اتفاق مع طهران، مشدداً على أن واشنطن تمتلك «خيارات عسكرية منخفضة التكلفة» إذا رفضت الاستجابة.

وأكد المسؤول لشبكة ABC News (الجمعة) أن ما وصفه بـ«الغبار النووي» لا يزال يمثل القضية الأساسية في المفاوضات، في إشارة إلى المواد النووية عالية التخصيب التي يعتقد أنها لا تزال مدفونة داخل المواقع التي استهدفتها الضربات الأمريكية.

وقال: «إما أن تسلمنا إيران هذا الغبار النووي، أو لدينا خيارات عسكرية تضمن بقاءه مدفوناً تحت الأرض إلى الأبد».

وشدد على أن المواد النووية تمثل جوهر أي اتفاق محتمل مع إيران، مؤكداً أن الولايات المتحدة تمتلك أوراق القوة، سواء من خلال الضغوط العسكرية أو الدبلوماسية أو الاقتصادية.

وأضاف: «إذا لم نحصل على الغبار النووي، فلن يكون هناك اتفاق مع إيران»، في أوضح إشارة حتى الآن إلى أن مصير مخزون اليورانيوم الإيراني أصبح العقبة الرئيسية أمام أي تفاهم بين الجانبين.

وتأتي هذه التصريحات بعد أيام من إعلان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب انتهاء وقف إطلاق النار مع إيران، بالتزامن مع تنفيذ القوات الأمريكية ضربات جديدة استهدفت مواقع عسكرية ومنشآت مرتبطة بالحرس الثوري على الساحل الإيراني، رداً على الهجمات التي طالت السفن التجارية في مضيق هرمز.

وكشف تقرير لشبكة CNN الأمريكية، استناداً إلى صور أقمار صناعية، عن مؤشرات على نشاط جديد في بعض المواقع النووية الإيرانية، ما أثار تساؤلات داخل واشنطن بشأن احتمال شروع طهران في إعادة بناء أجزاء من برنامجها النووي.

وعلى الرغم من استمرار جهود الوساطة التي تقودها سلطنة عمان وقطر وباكستان لإحياء المفاوضات، تؤكد الإدارة الأمريكية أن أي اتفاق مستقبلي لن يكتمل ما لم تتعامل إيران مع ملف اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب بصورة نهائية وقابلة للتحقق.

A senior U.S. official announced that the United States considers the acquisition of the Iranian high-enriched uranium located beneath the facilities that were bombed as a prerequisite for any agreement with Tehran, emphasizing that Washington has "low-cost military options" if Iran refuses to comply.

The official confirmed to ABC News (on Friday) that what he described as "nuclear dust" remains the core issue in the negotiations, referring to the highly enriched nuclear materials believed to still be buried within the sites targeted by U.S. strikes.

He stated: "Either Iran hands over this nuclear dust to us, or we have military options that ensure it remains buried underground forever."

He emphasized that nuclear materials represent the essence of any potential agreement with Iran, asserting that the United States holds the cards of power, whether through military, diplomatic, or economic pressure.

He added: "If we do not obtain the nuclear dust, there will be no agreement with Iran," in the clearest indication yet that the fate of Iran's uranium stockpile has become the main obstacle to any understanding between the two sides.

These statements come days after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the end of the ceasefire with Iran, coinciding with U.S. forces carrying out new strikes targeting military sites and facilities linked to the Revolutionary Guard on the Iranian coast, in response to attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

A report by CNN, based on satellite images, revealed signs of new activity at some Iranian nuclear sites, raising questions within Washington about the possibility of Tehran beginning to rebuild parts of its nuclear program.

Despite ongoing mediation efforts led by Oman, Qatar, and Pakistan to revive negotiations, the U.S. administration insists that any future agreement will not be finalized unless Iran addresses the high-enriched uranium issue in a definitive and verifiable manner.
