JEDDAH — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone call with his Italian counterpart to review developments in the region and international efforts to implement the two-state solution.

In their conversation, Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani assessed bilateral ties and explored avenues for their enhancement.

The two also addressed regional affairs, the significance of maritime security and navigational freedom, and global initiatives to advance the two-state solution in pursuit of a just and lasting peace.

The two-state solution has long been the bedrock of international peace efforts for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Saudi Arabia has consistently advocated for this framework, and the call with Italy underscores the kingdom's diplomatic outreach. Maritime security and freedom of navigation remain key priorities given the strategic importance of regional waterways.
