في خطأ طبي أثار صدمة واسعة في فرنسا، تحوّل موعد جراحي روتيني لمراهقة إلى كابوس غير متوقع، بعدما دخلت غرفة العمليات لإجراء جراحة في كاحلها، لكنها استيقظت لتكتشف أن الفريق الطبي أزال أضراس العقل الأربعة لديها، رغم أنها لم تكن بحاجة إلى أي تدخل في الفم.

شهدت عيادة خاصة في مدينة لو توكيه شمال فرنسا خطأً طبيًا فادحًا، حيث دخلت فتاة تبلغ من العمر 16 عامًا لإجراء عملية جراحية في كاحلها، لكنها استيقظت لتجد أن الأطباء أزالوا أضراس عقلها الأربعة عن طريق الخطأ.

وتسلط هذه الحادثة الضوء على المخاطر المحتملة للأخطاء الطبية الناجمة عن الخلط بين ملفات المرضى، خاصة في العيادات الخاصة.

وبحسب ما نقلته صحيفة «لوفيغارو» الفرنسية، خضعت المراهقة للتخدير العام، وبعد العملية شعرت بآلام شديدة في الفم عوضًا عن قدمها، ليكتشف الأطباء أنهم أزالوا أضراس العقل الأربعة خطأً.

وقالت والدة الفتاة إن إدارة العيادة أرجعت الخطأ إلى تشابه أسماء المرضى، مما تسبب في خلط الملفات الطبية وإجراء العملية المخصصة لمريض آخر.

وأكدت الأم أن ابنتها لم تكن تعاني أي مشكلة صحية تستدعي خلع أضراس العقل، مشيرة إلى أن الخطأ تسبب لها في آلام جسدية ومعاناة نفسية، فضلاً عن تأجيل الجراحة الأساسية التي كانت بحاجة إليها لعلاج كاحلها.

وأضافت أن ابنتها دخلت المستشفى وهي تنتظر إصلاح إصابة في قدمها، لكنها خرجت بعدما فقدت أربعة أضراس سليمة، ووصفت ما حدث بأنه «خطأ لا يمكن تبريره».

من جهتها، اعترفت إدارة العيادة بوقوع الخطأ، وقدمت اعتذاراً رسمياً للعائلة، مؤكدة فتح تحقيق داخلي للوقوف على الملابسات، ومراجعة الإجراءات المتبعة لمنع تكرار مثل هذه الأخطاء مستقبلاً.

ورغم الاعتذار، أعلنت العائلة عزمها اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية، إذ رفعت دعوى قضائية للمطالبة بمحاسبة المسؤولين وتعويض ابنتها عن الأضرار الجسدية والنفسية التي لحقت بها نتيجة العملية الخاطئة.

The incident occurred inside a private clinic in Le Touquet, northern France, where the 16-year-old girl was preparing to undergo a procedure aimed at treating an ankle injury, before a procedural error led to a completely different surgery being performed.

According to the French newspaper "Le Figaro," the girl was placed under general anesthesia, and after the operation, she began to feel sharp pain in her mouth instead of the site of her foot injury, only to discover that the clinic's doctors had mistakenly removed her four wisdom teeth.

The girl's mother explained that the clinic's management informed her that the reason was a mix-up due to similar patient names, which led to confusion between medical files and the surgery intended for another patient.

The mother confirmed that her daughter did not have any health issues that warranted the removal of her wisdom teeth, noting that the error caused her physical pain and psychological suffering, in addition to delaying the primary surgery she needed to treat her ankle.

She added that her daughter entered the hospital expecting to have her foot injury repaired, but left having lost four healthy teeth, describing what happened as an "inexcusable mistake."

For its part, the clinic's management acknowledged the error and issued a formal apology to the family, confirming that an internal investigation had been opened to understand the circumstances and review the procedures in place to prevent such mistakes from happening in the future.

Despite the apology, the family announced its intention to take legal action, as they filed a lawsuit demanding accountability from those responsible and compensation for the physical and psychological damages incurred by their daughter as a result of the erroneous procedure.
