As CHERY prepares to return to the Saudi market, the brand appears with a renewed identity and a clear focus on meeting the needs of local users. For Saudi families who value reliable quality, smart technologies, and a comfortable driving experience, CHERY is not only introducing a new lineup of cars but also seeking to rebuild trust and strengthen its connection with consumers through solutions that touch on the details of daily life in the Kingdom. With the official brand launch in Saudi Arabia approaching in Q4, the Smart Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) technology will stand out as one of the key smart technologies supporting the brand's renewed presence in the market.

In Saudi Arabia, parking is not merely a simple final step of a journey; drivers face familiar challenges in their daily family commutes, such as walking back and forth under the scorching sun, navigating complex parking layouts in large shopping malls, competing for parking spots during holidays, dealing with tight spaces in residential and upscale complexes, and the difficulty of opening large vehicle doors (SUVs) in limited spaces. Through SIVP technology, CHERY aims to integrate smart technology into these real-life details, ensuring that technology is not just a showcase of specs but a practical means to alleviate the daily hassles users face.

SIVP technology is based on two main scenarios: 'One Step Home' and 'One Tap Departure,' offering a solution specifically designed to fit the daily routines of users in the Gulf region. When returning home, users can activate the self-parking feature via the mobile app once they are in a designated area within the parking lot; the vehicle then moves into the lot, identifies an empty space, plans its path, and completes the parking. When ready to depart, users can summon the vehicle via the app, which automatically exits the parking spot and proceeds to a shaded waiting area (such as a building lobby or entrance), reducing the need to walk long distances under high temperatures to find or retrieve the car.

This experience is particularly important in the Saudi market; for families with children, shoppers laden with bags, or drivers caring for elderly family members, reducing walking distance or saving a few minutes away from the sun can make the trip much easier and more comfortable. CHERY hopes that the 'car-coming-to-user' feature will not be just a smart tech feature but become a natural and warmer part of daily family mobility.

Safety and user control are two core pillars of the SIVP system experience. During operation, live feeds of the surrounding environment (surround view) can be streamed to the user's mobile phone, allowing them to pause the system or take over driving at any time. The system is equipped with 360-degree omni-perception technology and relies on advanced end-to-end AI model algorithms to recognize pedestrians, vehicles, and other road users, supporting intelligent avoidance capabilities and dynamic decision-making. If the system senses that it cannot safely handle an extreme or highly complex scenario, it will proactively pull over, notifying the user via SMS or phone call.

CHERY's smart parking technology is designed to suit the hot Gulf climate, crowded parking lots, and daily family routines, aiming to make every departure and return easier and more convenient.

At the same time, CHERY addresses user concerns by defining a clear operational scope for the system; SIVP usage is strictly limited to parking areas and does not extend to public roads. Certain tasks—such as security inspection procedures at shopping mall entrances, driving on public roads, and paying parking fees—remain subject to user intervention according to actual conditions and parking facility procedures. For CHERY, responsible smart technology does not lie in exaggerating the system's capabilities, but in making every use clear, controllable, and reliable for the user.

In response to the unique conditions of the Gulf region—including high temperatures, strong sunlight, dust, and congestion with large and diverse vehicles—CHERY has made customized adjustments to suit this environment. The system relies on a fusion of perception technologies combining LiDAR and high-definition cameras, with special sensor enhancements to ensure dust resistance and heat dissipation; this helps handle complex parking environments with glare, reflections, airborne dust, and sharp contrasts between light and dark. Thanks to its integrated end-to-end neural network based on a Bird's Eye View (BEV) perspective and a multi-modal, dual-iteration prediction mechanism, the system can recognize different types of vehicles—such as pickup trucks, large SUVs, and passenger cars—while predicting the paths of moving objects in real time, allowing its use in diverse scenarios including underground and shaded open parking lots.

On June 29, CHERY organized a live media event covering the three main Gulf markets: Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar. During the event, the brand management team provided a comprehensive explanation of the system's core functions, technical foundations, and customized mobility scenarios for the Gulf market. The team also held open discussions with local user representatives on topics including system operational boundaries, safety standards, usage limitations, and reliability under high temperatures. The event was not just a technical demonstration but reflected CHERY's localization philosophy of 'being present in the place, working for the place, and integrating into the place.'

From the unveiling of new technologies to the principle of 'co-innovation' with users, from global product capabilities to mobility scenarios tailored specifically for the Saudi market, CHERY returns strongly to the Saudi market with renewed products, a more advanced technological experience, and a more open approach to user engagement. As the scheduled launch in Q4 approaches, CHERY will leverage smart technologies—such as the SIVP system—as a cornerstone to establish the image of the 'New CHERY' in Saudi Arabia: a global technology-based family car brand that understands family needs, prioritizes safety, possesses high technical capabilities, and is committed to serving users in the Kingdom in the long term.
