71,000 New Commercial Registrations in the Kingdom in Q2
The Ministry of Commerce released the Business Sector Bulletin for the second quarter of 2026, highlighting key performance indicators of the Kingdom's business sector. The report showed the issuance of over 71,000 new commercial registrations during the period, bringing the total number of existing commercial registrations to more than 1.91 million across various regions of the Kingdom.
The bulletin also highlighted the Kingdom's progress in several trade indicators within the Global Competitiveness Yearbook, ranking third globally in the indicator of legislative support for business establishment, fourth in the indicator of equal economic opportunities, and seventh in the indicator of large company efficiency according to international standards.
Enterprises grew by 18% over five years.
It also shed light on the continued attractiveness of the tourism sector and its accelerated growth, alongside the expansion of activities in promising sectors under the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, including e-commerce, cloud computing, sports academies, and entertainment and gaming cities.
Business growth indicators showed that the number of enterprises in the Kingdom increased by 18% over the past five years, reaching approximately 1.28 million enterprises, while the number of limited liability company registrations exceeded 612,000 commercial records, achieving a growth of 173%.
