Acwa obtains government approval granting it exclusive right to export green hydrogen to global markets

Acwa Power announced that it has received government approval granting it the exclusive right to export green hydrogen produced in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its derivatives of green ammonia, green methanol, green methane, and fuel manufactured using green hydrogen to global markets, in achieving national targets.

The company said in a statement on Tadawul that the approval included commissioning the company to develop projects for generating, transmitting, and exporting electricity from renewable energy sources to European and Arab markets.

It indicated that it will disclose any material developments and financial impacts in accordance with relevant regulations and instructions.
