The National Center for Water Efficiency and Rationalization "Mai" has launched an electronic platform to regulate sector services and issue licenses digitally.

The step aims to enable service providers and protect beneficiaries by limiting transactions to officially accredited entities.

Simplifying procedures and raising service efficiency

The center explained that the platform allows the issuance of eight types of licenses dedicated to individuals, institutions, and companies.

The licenses cover urban, agricultural, and industrial sectors for carrying out water auditing activities and designing rationalization solutions. The center added that the activities include leak detection and repair, measurement and verification of water savings, indicating that the platform contributes to simplifying procedures and raising service efficiency according to high professional standards.

Applying for licenses

"Mai" called on those wishing to practice water efficiency activities to submit license applications through the unified portal, urging beneficiaries to ensure that leak detection service providers are accredited to guarantee work reliability. The center pointed out that all service providers are subject to a strict regulatory system that includes monitoring and field evaluation, stressing that these procedures include verifying the validity of studies and data to maintain service quality. The launch of the platform comes as an extension of the validity of the approved licensing regulation on the thirty-first of last January. The regulation organizes the obligations of workers in the sector, thus supporting the achievement of water sustainability targets.
