Sakaka, Muharram 29, 1448 AH corresponding to July 14, 2026, SPA – His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region, met at his palace in Sakaka with a number of citizens, dignitaries, tribal chiefs, and several civil officials and military leaders during his weekly citizen meeting, which was dedicated to reviewing the works of Al-Jouf Region Municipality and its development projects and future plans. His Highness and the attendees watched a presentation delivered by the Secretary of Al-Jouf Region, Engineer Atef bin Mohammed Al-Sharaan, in which he reviewed the municipality's efforts in supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 through its current and future development projects, including road projects, rainwater and flood drainage, parks and public facilities, grant schemes, housing, and investment, as well as performance indicators in municipal services, digital transformation, public health, cleanliness, afforestation, and achievements in improving the urban landscape and raising service efficiency. The presentation addressed the municipality's efforts in developing the investment environment and adopting smart solutions in managing municipal services, contributing to raising performance efficiency, improving beneficiary experience, and supporting economic development. It also reviewed housing and residential land indicators, and infrastructure projects being implemented in the region's cities and governorates. His Highness and the attendees watched a visual presentation highlighting the municipality's most prominent achievements and qualitative initiatives, foremost among them the 'Al-Jouf Green Oasis' initiative, which exceeded its target by planting more than one million trees, and the smart control and monitoring initiative for rainwater and flood drainage networks, which contributed to reducing response time to rainy conditions from two and a half days to half a day, in addition to the most prominent development projects implemented in various cities and governorates of the region.
