Saudi Cabinet Approves Unified National Visa Platform
The Saudi Cabinet, during its session held today (Tuesday) in Jeddah chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, approved the establishment of a unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to be the approved national platform for visa procedures in the Kingdom. It also reviewed a number of national indicators and achievements, and approved a set of agreements and memoranda of understanding with several countries.

National Visa Platform and Growth of the Non-Profit Sector
The Council approved the establishment of a unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will be the approved national platform for this purpose.
The Council reviewed the general performance indicators of several strategic and vital sectors, praising the non-profit sector's continued achievement of its development targets at an accelerated pace. The contribution of non-profit organizations to the GDP has increased, with the number of organizations rising to over 7,200 by the end of 2025, and the number of volunteers reaching 1.7 million.

Praise for Digital Leadership and International Achievements
The Cabinet welcomed the unanimous adoption by the United Nations Human Rights Council at its 62nd session of the resolution presented by Saudi Arabia on 'Women's Empowerment in Cybersecurity,' building on the global initiative launched by the Crown Prince in this field, and enhancing its international goals and embodying its vision with tangible practical steps.
The Council affirmed that Saudi Arabia achieving first place globally in the 2026 ICT Development Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union highlights the continuous development in infrastructure and the regulatory environment that supports enhancing international leadership in the future of technology and artificial intelligence, amid the rapid growth of the Saudi digital economy, which has established its position as the largest in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The Council also considered Saudi Arabia's election as President of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization for the second consecutive time as an extension of its leading role in supporting the aviation sector regionally and internationally, and its contributions to developing the air transport industry.

World Bank Praises AI Sandbox
The Council also praised the World Bank's report on the artificial intelligence sandbox in education in Saudi Arabia, considering it a pioneering model and an international reference for developing higher quality and more sustainable digital education, employing modern technologies, and enabling educational entities and innovators to develop practical solutions in this field.
Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding
The Cabinet approved agreements between Saudi Arabia and Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Poland on the exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports.
It also approved a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia and Singapore for cooperation in social development, a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Justice of Turkey, and a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Spain for cooperation in the field of the future of modern transport methods.
