The council reviewed a report from the Ministry of Economy and Planning, which monitored developments in the global economy and its growth paths amid current regional changes and their implications for the national economy, highlighting the high flexibility of the Saudi economy and the ability of the logistical system to adapt to global changes.

Government Performance and Foreign Trade Reports
The council reviewed a report prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Planning on Saudi Arabia's participation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos 2026, in addition to the quarterly report prepared by the Digital Government Authority on the performance of government entities in the United Nations E-Government Development Index, the periodic report on the results of completed work of the National Framework Committee for Regulating Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit departments, and the monthly executive summary of foreign trade.
Improvement in Government Entities Performance Indicators
The council reviewed the quarterly presentation by the National Center for Performance Measurement of Public Agencies (Adaa), which covered the performance results of public agencies during the first quarter of 2026, the level of implementation of indicators and initiatives of government agencies within Saudi Vision 2030, as well as the center's work in activating the measurement of national strategies, monitoring the contribution of government agencies to their implementation, and mechanisms to support performance improvement.
The results showed an improvement in the percentage of initiatives on track and completed compared to the last quarter of 2025, with continued efforts to support government agencies, address challenges, and follow up on corrective plans to enhance the efficiency of government performance.
A Leap in Traffic Safety
The council discussed the annual report submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Traffic Safety, which indicated that the traffic safety sector achieved a qualitative leap and a global leadership position with the support and directives of the leadership. The integrated efforts resulted in a historic decline in the traffic accident fatality rate exceeding 60% during 2025 compared to 2016 levels, with continued work to achieve further progress in enhancing traffic safety, reflecting on quality of life and preserving the health and safety of citizens and residents.
The report addressed the historical trend of traffic accidents, the results of strategic performance indicators for 2025 and their targets until 2027, an evaluation of the traffic safety situation in Saudi regions, in addition to the most prominent decisions of the ministerial and executive committees and the achievements of relevant entities.
