Oil jumps 4% as tensions escalate between Washington and Tehran

Oil prices rose in trading today after the United States launched airstrikes against Iranian targets. The price of Brent crude, the global benchmark, rose 3.9% to $78.96 a barrel, while the price of West Texas Intermediate, the U.S. benchmark, rose 4% to $74.26 a barrel.
