The Real Estate Registry announced that more than 4.9 million properties are ready for title registration in Saudi Arabia, and 1.8 million ownership deeds have been issued so far.

The official spokesperson for the Real Estate Registry, Yazid Al-Yahya, revealed a partial announcement of the start of registration in the Asir region during this year, explaining that the project has undergone a qualitative transformation through the use of manned and unmanned aircraft for surveying.

Al-Yahya emphasized that title registration aims to grant absolute legal validity to property deeds, thereby enhancing the attractiveness of investment in the sector, stressing the importance of integrating roles between the General Authority for Real Estate, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing to ensure the success of the system.

Building a reliable database

The Vice President of Institutional Communication, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qarni, pointed out that the registry contributes to generating added value for the state by building a reliable database, noting that the system evolves the concept of ownership from the question 'Who owns the property?' to 'What does he own?'. Al-Qarni explained that property represents rights for individuals and national investments beyond being just a financial asset. He clarified that the sector is leading a national transformation to process historical data of millions of properties to become more accurate, transparent, and sustainable.

These disclosures came during a visit organized by the Real Estate Registry for a number of intermediaries and engineering offices to review its services. The final meeting witnessed discussions between attendees and registry leaders, with the participation of Vice Presidents Engineer Hatem Qazzaz, Osama Al-Ajlan, Abdulrahman Al-Daham, Engineer Muhammad Al-Muqri, and Abdulrahman Al-Areifi to discuss beneficiaries' proposals.
