The Saudi-Canadian Investment Forum commenced today in Jeddah, with the participation of a high-level Canadian delegation comprising representatives from both the public and private sectors, alongside officials, business leaders, and investors from both countries, aiming to bolster investment partnership and explore cooperation opportunities in several promising economic sectors.

The forum included a roundtable meeting that brought together officials, investors, and business leaders from both sides, during which they discussed investment partnership opportunities, reviewed the enablers and incentives provided by the Kingdom, and explored prospects for cooperation in priority sectors.

The forum also witnessed the signing of 15 memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements between government entities, companies, and institutions from Saudi Arabia and Canada, thereby strengthening economic relations and supporting the expansion of cooperation and joint investment.

During the forum sessions, participants discussed investment opportunities in the sectors of financial services, mining, advanced industries, artificial intelligence, and data centers, in addition to reviewing the enablers provided by the Kingdom to investors within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

The forum highlighted the Kingdom's rapid growth in the industrial sector and its competitive advantages, including advanced infrastructure and a strategic location linking the markets of the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa, opening new horizons for investment partnerships with the Canadian side.

The forum also shed light on promising opportunities in the mining sector, where the Kingdom's mineral resources are estimated at approximately 2.5 trillion US dollars, encompassing more than 50 minerals, alongside rapid growth in exploration activities and value chains, aligning with Canada's advanced expertise in this sector.

The forum is held as part of efforts to strengthen economic relations between the Kingdom and Canada, and to open new prospects for cooperation and investment that support sustainable economic growth and enhance the partnership between the two countries.
