AI Sector Commercial Registrations Jump 33% by End of Q2
The number of active commercial registrations in the artificial intelligence technologies sector in Saudi Arabia increased by 33% by the end of the second quarter of 2026, highlighting the sector's position as one of the promising opportunities launched by Saudi Vision 2030 for local and foreign businesses.
According to the quarterly business bulletin issued by the Ministry of Commerce, the number of commercial registrations in the AI technologies sector reached 22,591 by the end of Q2 2026, compared to 16,908 in the same quarter of the previous year.

Riyadh region accounted for the largest number of commercial registrations for this activity with 13,926 registrations, followed by Makkah region with 4,353, then the Eastern Province with 2,328, Madinah with 744, and Qassim with 322.
Cloud Computing Services
The cloud computing services sector achieved a growth of 42% by the end of Q2 2026, with the number of registrations reaching 6,802, compared to 4,763 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Riyadh region had the highest number of registrations issued in this sector with 4,282, followed by Makkah with 1,294, then the Eastern Province with 698, then Madinah and Qassim with 196 and 91 respectively.
