Baker Hughes: Global oil rig count rises in June

Baker Hughes data showed the global oil rig count rose by 61 rigs year-on-year in June, reaching 1822 rigs.

The oil services company's report also revealed a monthly increase in the Middle East rig count to 488, though it remains 13 rigs lower compared to the same period last year.

The number of oil and gas rigs worldwide (excluding the US and Canada) rose month-on-month, but remained lower by only two rigs compared to the same period last year, standing at 1073.
