Economist / Prince of Najran Discusses Future of Contracting Sector in Region with Chairman and Members of Saudi Contractors Authority
Najran, Muharram 28, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 13, 2026, SPA – His Royal Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, Governor of Najran Region, affirmed that the region is witnessing qualitative developmental projects, including the recent announcement of the launch of the "Heart of Najran" destination project, which represent promising opportunities for contractors and contribute to enhancing economic development and improving quality of life. This came during an open meeting organized by the Emirate of Najran Region, represented by the General Administration of Media and Institutional Communication, at the Emirate’s Diwan today, in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, members of the Board of Directors, civil and military leaders, businessmen, contractors, and those interested in the contracting sector in the region; to discuss the sector’s reality, review its developmental opportunities, and discuss ways to develop it and enhance its contribution to implementing developmental projects. His Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership – may God support them – for the support and attention given to the contracting sector as one of the main drivers of development and project implementation. The meeting witnessed several interventions from contractors and those interested in the contracting sector, which addressed the role of the Saudi Contractors Authority and the services it provides to contractors, mechanisms for benefiting from the opportunities and developmental projects in Najran Region, the key steps that entrepreneurs should follow before entering the sector, in addition to the skills and capabilities that contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of emerging contractors. The Chairman of the Board of Directors answered attendees’ inquiries, reviewing the programs and initiatives implemented by the Authority to develop the sector, enhance the business environment, raise contractor efficiency, and enable them to benefit from current and future developmental opportunities.
