Global City Launches Investment Projects, 5 Global Markets, and Innovative Experiences
The Eastern Province Municipality reviewed the plan for the second season of the Global City project in Dammam, which includes qualitative expansions and new global experiences, with the launch of 5 open global markets and the creation of an interactive fountain. The project aims to receive more than 5.2 million visitors, enhancing its status as a prominent cultural, entertainment, and investment destination in the region.
Launch of the Asian Village, Kapayan Night Market, and Future Zone
The project attracted more than 3 million visitors from various nationalities and ages in its first season. The average daily number of visitors for the second season is expected to range between 22,000 and 26,000 visitors, reflecting the major expansion the project has witnessed since its launch.
The second season includes the launch of new destinations such as the Asian Village overlooking the waterfront, the Kapayan Night Market, and the Future Zone, which offers advanced experiences in artificial intelligence and robotics. The expansion also includes Dinosaur City and various entertainment areas for all age groups.
A new investment zone is also being established, providing flexible spaces for investors and entrepreneurs. This zone aims to increase commercial spaces and attract new brands, thereby enhancing economic opportunities in the project.
The second season includes 23 international pavilions, 5 open global markets, in addition to 13 restaurants, 60 food and beverage kiosks, and 6 cafés. Integrated entertainment and service facilities are also available to serve visitors.
For his part, the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Eng. Fahd Al-Jubeir, affirmed that the Global City in Dammam is a successful model of partnership between the municipality and the private sector in investing municipal assets. He pointed out the importance of continuing to develop the project to enhance the region's status as a leading destination for investment, tourism, and entertainment.
