Iraqi Trade Minister Mustafa al-Ani said that his country will sign contracts with American companies in the oil and electricity sectors.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi affirmed that the United States represents "the most important strategic partner in the world" for Iraq, stressing that Baghdad looks forward to building a future-oriented relationship, coinciding with his visit to the White House and his meeting with US President Donald Trump to discuss strengthening political and economic partnership between the two countries.

Al-Zaidi's remarks came during his official visit to Washington, where he was received by US President Donald Trump at the White House, a visit aimed at expanding cooperation between Baghdad and Washington, and attracting American investments in the energy, oil, gas, and infrastructure sectors, while maintaining the balance of Iraq's regional relations.
