Saudi Arabia issued more than 71,000 new commercial registrations in the second quarter of 2026, according to the Business Sector Bulletin issued by the Ministry of Commerce, bringing the total number of existing commercial registrations in the Kingdom to more than 1.91 million.

The bulletin reviewed the most prominent performance indicators of the business sector, noting the Kingdom's progress in several trade indicators in the World Competitiveness Yearbook. It ranked third globally in the indicator of legislation support for establishing companies, fourth in the indicator of equal economic opportunities, and seventh in the indicator of efficiency of large companies according to international standards.

The bulletin also addressed the growth of a number of sectors targeted under Saudi Vision 2030, including tourism, e-commerce, cloud computing, sports academies, and entertainment and gaming cities, amid the continued expansion of economic activities.

Data showed an 18% increase in the number of establishments in the Kingdom over the past five years, reaching about 1.28 million establishments, while the number of limited liability company registrations exceeded 612,000, recording a growth of 173% during the period.
