Japan Announces Nearly $12 Billion in Investments in India to Boost Economic Cooperation

New Delhi, July 03 (QNA) - Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi announced investments of nearly $12 billion in commercial projects in India during summit talks with her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
Takaichi told reporters after the bilateral talks in the capital New Delhi that "the volatile international situation makes cooperation and integration between Japan and India more important," noting that she discussed several shared goals with Modi in this context.
Regarding economic relations, the Japanese Prime Minister explained that companies from the two countries exchanged about 130 cooperation documents, and noted discussions on cooperation in the fields of maritime and economic security.
These talks come as part of Takaichi's ongoing visit to India, which focuses on trade and investment topics, as well as economic and defense security.
