Japan's Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday that the country's trade balance of goods recorded a deficit of 406.9 billion yen (2.49 billion dollars) last month, far exceeding analysts' expectations of 120 billion yen, compared to a deficit of 391.8 billion yen in May.

Japan's exports in June increased by 19.3% to 10.929 trillion yen, while analysts had expected a 18.6% rise after a 16.8% increase in the previous month.

In contrast, Japan's imports increased by 25.4% to 11.335 trillion yen, while analysts expected a 21% rise after a 12.5% increase in May.
