Mohammed Al-Aqil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Jarir," said that the team moved quickly to redirect shipments and handle logistical developments immediately after the Iran war, pointing out in a phone call with "Al-Eqtisadiah" that the company does not expect to face problems in inventory availability for the remainder of the year.
Al-Aqil, who heads one of the largest computer retail stores in the Middle East, indicated that market demand remains good, and that the company has not observed any signs of consumer hesitation in purchasing, suggesting that the continued spending may be linked to a segment of consumers not traveling during the current period.

Rise in e-commerce sales
On the other hand, Al-Aqil explained that e-commerce sales exceeded 32% of the company's total sales during the second quarter.
Adding that the company's e-commerce business volume has approached 3.5 billion riyals, enhancing its ability to compete with platforms in the market.
School products benefit from inventory availability
Al-Aqil pointed out that school products are expected to benefit from inventory availability, supporting the company's performance in the coming period.
While Al-Aqil noted the continued existence of some challenges related to a shortage of certain electronic components, he expressed optimism about the performance of the third and fourth quarters.
Opening 6 new showrooms
These expectations align with the plans announced by Jarir in its annual report, as it aims to open between 5 and 6 new showrooms during 2026, expand in products supporting artificial intelligence technologies, launch initiatives to increase market share, and continue improving inventory management.
This comes at a time when Jarir announced on Wednesday a statement via Tadawul that Jarir's net profit rose 19.4% for the second quarter to 235.6 million riyals, due to scarcity of product supply which led to not resorting to promotional discounts.
