Maersk resumes Middle East-East America voyages via Suez Canal
Danish shipping group Maersk said on Thursday it will resume its voyages between the Middle East and the East Coast of the United States via the Suez Canal, in another step by the company toward restoring its routes through the Red Sea.
The company explained that transit time in the westbound direction will improve by an average of 7 days, while eastbound voyages will be up to 14 days faster.
In a statement, it said: 'The route via the Suez Canal and the Red Sea is the fastest, most sustainable, and most efficient way to serve customers in transport between India, the Middle East, and the East Coast of the United States.'
