After qualifying for the 2026 World Cup semifinals, the Argentine players launched a new World Cup anthem titled 'The Fourth Star' to the tune of the classic famous song 'Gilda', loading it with emotional charges threatening the English rival.
The lyrics of the anthem, passionately chanted by the players, include: 'After 32 years, the Scaloneta will avenge the cup they stole from Diego (Maradona) in 1994.. We want to see the fourth star shining on the shirt, for the Malvinas, and for Leo's last dance.'
The pitch of Kansas City stadium turned into a scene of hysterical celebrations after Argentina's dramatic win over Switzerland with a score of (3-1) in two exhausting extra periods lasting 120 minutes.
The 'world champions', led by Lionel Messi, headed to the stands to share with the fans who painted the stadium in white and sky blue the madness of qualification, where Messi interacted strongly and kept waving his shirt with his right hand, joining the fans in the old historic chant: 'The one who doesn't jump is English.'
In a gesture reflecting his personality, Messi stepped back to drink some water, trying to hide his shyness and humility amidst the chants of his teammates singing his name, before one of the players ran to him and hugged him, bringing him back into the loud group dance circle in the middle of the pitch.
With this hard-fought victory, Argentina set a historic football date with England in the semifinal scheduled to be held in Atlanta; a dream World Cup encounter that was missing from Messi's legendary career, as 'The Flea' prepares to take on the most exciting and thrilling summit at the end of his international journey.
