MGX, the AI Infrastructure Partnership, and BlackRock's Global Infrastructure Partners, collectively referred to as the alliance, announced the completion of the previously disclosed acquisition of all shares of Allied Data Centers from private infrastructure funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management, along with their co-investors.

The deal reflects an enterprise value of approximately $40 billion, making it one of the largest private investments in the global digital infrastructure sector.

Allied Data Centers is one of the world's largest and fastest-growing data center development companies, with a portfolio of 51 data center complexes and an operational and planned capacity exceeding 6.4 gigawatts.

The company's current investments underscore the pivotal role of digital infrastructure in supporting the new industrial renaissance in the United States and bolstering its technological leadership, with assets concentrated in premier Tier 1 digital interconnection hubs, including Northern Virginia, Chicago, Dallas, Ohio, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, as well as São Paulo, Querétaro, and Santiago.

Allied Data Centers holds a global position thanks to its patented innovative cooling technologies that reduce water consumption and enhance energy efficiency in data centers, benefiting its customers and the communities where it operates. The AI Infrastructure Partnership was established to aggregate large-scale long-term capital and bring together leading global technology companies to support the development of next-generation AI infrastructure. This deal marks the partnership's first investment and a significant step toward its initial goal of mobilizing and investing $30 billion in capital, with the potential to support total investments of up to $100 billion, including debt financing.

Concurrently with the closing of the transaction, the alliance has committed an additional $5 billion in growth equity to support Allied Data Centers' plans to continue expanding and increasing its equipped capacity to support AI applications.
