The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed 853 requests for the chemical clearance service during June 2026, as part of its efforts to enable industrial investment and provide supporting services for the growth and expansion of industrial facilities. The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, explained that the processed requests include 798 requests for clearance of import of unrestricted chemicals, and 55 requests for permission to import restricted chemicals, noting that the issued requests include 1,653 items. Al-Jarrah stated that the chemical clearance service enables the industrial investor to request a clearance permit or an import or export license for chemicals used in the industrial facility, and applications are submitted through the 'Sanaie' platform, indicating that the service aims to ensure granting chemical clearances to industrial facilities according to simplified procedures and in a timely manner, serving the investor and facilitating the entry of their materials through the ports.
