Dubai, September 21 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the national campaign 'UAE, World Capital of Entrepreneurs' aiming to consolidate the UAE's position as a global destination for entrepreneurship and provide full support to Emirati youth to benefit from the unique economic environment offered by the state through an integrated set of specialized initiatives and programs. The Ministry of Economy and Tourism oversees the campaign in cooperation with the Government Media Office of the UAE, with the participation of the UAE Entrepreneurship Council, a group of strategic partners from the public and private sectors, and several national institutions. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: 'Brothers and sisters, today we launch a new national campaign from the Cabinet titled "UAE, World Capital of Entrepreneurship" ... with the participation of more than 50 entities from the public and private sectors. The campaign aims to train and incubate 10,000 of our entrepreneurs, provide thousands of economic opportunities for them, and consolidate community awareness of the importance of benefiting from the economic boom our country is witnessing. Many initiatives will be launched, and we invite all entities and institutions to participate in this campaign and support its goals.' His Highness also said: 'Today we have fifty business incubators spread across the country, and our national economy includes small and medium enterprises that contribute more than 63% of our non-oil GDP. The UAE leads the 56 most important global economies in supporting small and medium enterprises and providing the best business environment for them.' He affirmed: 'Our goal is for young people to increasingly move towards building their own companies, contributing to the economic development journey, and benefiting from the great opportunities offered by our active national economy.' The campaign, overseen by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in cooperation with the Government Media Office of the UAE and with the participation of more than 50 entities including business incubators and accelerators, partners from the public and private sectors, and academic institutions, aims to attract and train entrepreneurs, highlight the UAE's contribution to entrepreneurship globally, make it an attractive destination for talent and entrepreneurs, and promote success stories of Emirati citizens who have contributed to increasing community awareness of entrepreneurship.

The campaign's key initiatives include establishing StartupEmirates.ae, a platform aimed at providing free entrepreneurial support, including the creation of a center offering spaces and diverse training for entrepreneurs in the UAE, training Emirati talents, providing mentoring services, and linking them with startups for knowledge exchange. It also aims to attract and support about 10,000 entrepreneurs in the UAE, creating around 30,000 job opportunities over the next five years. The national campaign also includes a program to train 10,000 male and female citizens on the basics and practices of entrepreneurship, designed to qualify new entrepreneurs through an intensive training program, aimed at providing them with practical knowledge and deep understanding of core concepts in the world of entrepreneurship.

The program includes understanding project establishment stages, identifying opportunities, building business models, resource management, innovative thinking, and practical steps to develop an integrated project plan, with a focus on skills and practices that help participants turn their ideas into projects capable of growth and sustainability in the modern business environment. The national campaign 'UAE, World Capital of Entrepreneurs' launches a set of specialized programs and initiatives aimed at supporting the entrepreneurship sector and equipping youth with expertise and academic knowledge to enhance their presence in various economic sectors. At the forefront of these initiatives is the 'Project Management Experts' program, a program to license national talents with experience in the construction business, enabling them to supervise residential construction projects efficiently and professionally. The program aims to train and license 500 male and female citizens to manage residential construction projects at all stages, from planning to completion, and provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to support homeowners planning to build their homes and provide them with necessary consultations to ensure smooth and high-quality work. Within its programs, the campaign, in cooperation with the New Economy Academy and a number of strategic partners, offers the 'Emirati Tax Agent' program, a specialized training program aimed at qualifying 500 Emirati tax agents in both 'Value Added Tax Diploma' and 'Corporate Tax Diploma'. The campaign also includes launching Emirati real estate companies by supporting citizens to establish 250 real estate companies and agencies. The national campaign 'UAE, World Capital of Entrepreneurs' includes an initiative to train 50 content creators in the field of economy and entrepreneurship in cooperation with the New Media Academy, through a specialized program concerned with raising awareness and creating content on entrepreneurship, targeting current and aspiring entrepreneurs and content creators focusing on the digital economy. The campaign also includes cooperation with the Ministry of Education to organize a national exhibition involving all educational institutions, aimed at raising awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship at an early age, as well as organizing a graduate business projects exhibition with participation from academic institutions, universities, and a number of partners to provide a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial projects to an audience of investors, potential partners, and supporting entities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The campaign initiatives also include providing opportunities for owners of national entrepreneurial projects to participate more in the federal government procurement system, and organizing workshops on registration mechanisms and participation in federal government tenders under the umbrella of the Ministry of Finance.
