The National Center for Palms and Dates has launched seasonal date markets across various regions of the Kingdom under the slogan "Our Dates Seasons," a step aimed at showcasing the finest Saudi dates and bringing together farmers, marketers, and buyers through an integrated electronic platform to organize buying and selling operations and improve market efficiency.

The "Our Dates Seasons" initiative includes a number of markets distributed across the Kingdom's regions, most notably: Atiqah Date Season, Buraidah Date Carnival, Unaizah International Date Season, Madinah Date Season, Jeddah Date Season, and Al-Ahsa Saram Season; reflecting the diversity of seasons and highlighting the quality and variety of Saudi dates.

The Center explained that these seasons aim to strengthen the association of dates with Saudi cultural and social heritage as a symbol of generosity and hospitality, as well as achieving rewarding economic returns for farmers, marketers, and buyers alike.

The seasons include marketing and agricultural activities accompanying the date markets, targeting visitors, traders, and foreign importers, and allowing the display and trading of the finest Saudi date varieties to contribute to enhancing their economic value and social standing.

Within this framework, the Center pointed out that the seasonal markets platform launched in 2023 represents an integrated electronic system to organize date trading operations and document transactions between market parties, thus preserving everyone's rights and enhancing transparency and reliability.

The platform enables the electronic documentation of contracts and agreements, provides accurate data on quantities, prices, and types of dates, in addition to supporting decision-making among beneficiaries, noting that registration on the platform is a prerequisite for conducting sales operations in the covered markets.

"Our Dates Seasons" comes as an extension of the National Center for Palms and Dates' efforts to develop the marketing environment for dates and enhance the efficiency of buying and selling operations, thereby contributing to raising the economic value of Saudi dates and supporting the goals of Vision 2030 in developing the agricultural sector and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
