The Saudi Professional League has imposed graduated financial fines starting from 10,000 riyals and reaching up to 500,000 riyals, as part of broad amendments aimed at enhancing digital oversight of the ticketing system and improving the governance of electronic platforms and fan data.

A comparison of the new regulations with those of the previous season revealed the introduction of six new violations for the first time, focusing on technical and operational aspects, including: non-compliance with league requests regarding fan data and ticketing reports, failure to meet the minimum requirements for the electronic ticketing platform.

This is in addition to using an alternative platform or operating it simultaneously with the central platform without prior approval, exclusively relying on an alternative platform without a justification acceptable to the league, failure to adhere to the approved ticketing plan, and failure to comply with ticket release dates or the minimum quota allocated for international fans.

Penalties for these new violations range from a written warning to a fine starting from 10,000 riyals and reaching up to 50,000 riyals for the first offense, while penalties double to reach 100,000 riyals and 200,000 riyals in case of repeat violations related to data, the electronic platform, the ticketing plan, the international quota, or operating parallel alternative platforms without league approval.

The league canceled the article penalizing clubs for not applying a price cap on tickets, which in the previous regulations imposed escalating fines up to 500,000 riyals, while retaining the article on equality of ticket prices between the fans of the two clubs for the same category, with continued imposition of fines up to 500,000 riyals upon repetition, along with immediate confiscation of the entire difference in revenue resulting from any price discrimination.

The new regulations maintained strict penalties for major operational violations; fines start from 100,000 riyals and reach up to 500,000 riyals upon repetition for violations: not making tickets available for sale through the approved platform without prior exception, not releasing tickets at the specified times, not allocating the prescribed tickets or seats for the visiting club's fans or not verifying their validity.

This is in addition to failing to provide the free tickets due to league partners, the visiting club, or the ministry, and failing to prepare VIP lounges according to approved requirements.
