Promising Investment Opportunities: Livestock and Fisheries Development Program Highlights Importance of Camel Sector

The National Program for Livestock and Fisheries Development reviewed the importance of the camel sector and its role in enhancing the national economy, pointing to its ongoing efforts to develop this vital field by offering promising investment opportunities and incentive initiatives that contribute to supporting the camel sector in the Kingdom.

This came during a workshop organized by the program in the capital Riyadh, titled 'Investment Opportunities in the Camel Sector,' attended by Dr. Ali Al-Sheikhi, Assistant Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture for Livestock and Fisheries, and a number of experts and specialists in the camel field.

The workshop addressed promising investment opportunities in the camel sector and discussed aspects of support and financing conditions available to investors. It also touched on the latest biotechnologies used in developing this vital sector, in addition to the services provided and support available to enhance camel sustainability, thereby contributing to the development of the livestock sector in the Kingdom.

The workshop discussed camel processed products and their role in enhancing food security in the Kingdom, as well as highlighting the importance of camel health and its impact on sector development and support for the national economy. The workshop also reviewed best practices and modern technologies that contribute to developing the camel sector to achieve its sustainability, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

It is noteworthy that the program pays great attention to the camel sector due to its economic and social importance, and continues to support investors and camel owners by launching qualitative initiatives and providing investment opportunities, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 aimed at achieving sustainability of the livestock and fisheries sector and maximizing its contributions to the Kingdom's economy.
