Doha, London, New York, San Francisco, July 01 (QNA) - Qatar Investment Authority announced its participation in a deal to acquire the British-American group Janus Henderson Group Ltd, alongside Trian Fund Management L.P and General Catalyst, as part of a global group of investors.

In this context, Mr. Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaidi, CEO of Qatar Investment Authority, said that Janus Henderson has a proven track record as a globally leading asset management group.

He added: 'We at Qatar Investment Authority, as a long-term financial investor, are pleased to play a key role in driving the next phase of the company's growth, working alongside the company's management and our investor partners.'

The Authority clarified in a statement that the deal will give the company, as a private entity, greater flexibility to execute its long-term strategy, by enhancing its investment solutions, improving customer services, investing in artificial intelligence technologies, and developing competencies, thereby contributing to achieving sustainable value for its clients and all stakeholders.

According to a statement from Qatar Investment Authority, Janus Henderson will be able to enhance the customer experience and develop its strategy through long-term investments in its investment solutions, customer service capabilities, AI technologies, and talents, benefiting its clients and stakeholders in general.

The statement confirmed that the current executive management will continue to lead the company under CEO Ali Dibaji, while Janus Henderson will retain its dual headquarters in London, United Kingdom, and Denver, Colorado, USA.

The participation of Qatar Investment Authority in this deal reflects its long-term strategy of building partnerships with leading global institutions in the financial services sector, and supporting companies that have strong market positions and significant opportunities to achieve long-term value.
