Real Estate Prices Rise 1.3% in Q2 2026
The General Authority for Statistics announced an increase in the real estate price index in the Kingdom by 1.3% during the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period of 2025, driven by a rise in residential sector prices by 2.6% and agricultural sector by 11.3%, while the commercial sector recorded a decline of 3.2%.
The authority explained that the residential sector recorded an annual increase of 2.6% due to a rise in residential land prices by 6.3%, apartments by 1.1%, and residential floors by 0.4%, while villa prices declined by 9.7%. Commercial sector prices also fell by 3.2%, affected by a decrease in commercial land prices by 3.5% and buildings by 0.6%, compared to an increase in exhibition and shop prices by 0.4%. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector continued its annual growth with a rise of 11.3% due to an increase in agricultural land prices by the same percentage.
On a quarterly basis, the real estate price index rose by 3% during the second quarter of 2026 compared to the first quarter of the year, driven by an increase in residential sector prices by 3.7%, commercial sector by 1%, and agricultural sector by 1.3%.
Regarding administrative regions, real estate prices rose in Riyadh and Makkah regions by 4.2% and 0.4% respectively, while Al-Jouf and Northern Borders regions recorded the highest increase rates at 10.4% and 4.6%. In contrast, Hail region recorded the highest decline in prices at 10.1%, followed by Qassim at 5.4%, then Medina at 4.5%, and Al-Baha region at 2.8%.
