Recent official data revealed that companies listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange succeeded in increasing their capital by 27.215 billion Egyptian pounds since the beginning of 2026 until now, as part of companies continuing to strengthen their capital bases and finance expansion and investment plans.
According to data from the Egyptian Stock Exchange, the increase was distributed as 691 million pounds during January trading, 431 million pounds in February trading, and 308 million pounds in March trading.
Listed companies recorded an increase in their capital by 14.372 billion pounds during April trading, 3.108 billion pounds in May trading, 1.538 billion pounds in June trading, and 6.767 billion pounds during the current July trading.
April was the highest in terms of the value of capital increases since the beginning of the year, recording about 14.372 billion pounds, representing about 52.8% of the total increases recorded during the first seven months of the year, followed by July with 6.767 billion pounds, then May with about 3.108 billion pounds.
At the company level, the Housing and Development Bank topped the list of largest capital increases during July trading, after raising its capital by 5.313 billion pounds, increasing the number of shares from 531.3 million shares to 1.0626 billion shares.
Arab Developers Holding came in second place, after increasing its capital by one billion pounds, as the number of shares increased from 13.903 billion shares to 23.903 billion shares.
Egyptian Hotels Company recorded an increase in its capital of 396 million pounds, raising the number of shares from 396 million shares to 792 million shares.
Delta Insurance Company also raised its capital by 50 million pounds, increasing the number of shares from 125 million shares to 137.5 million shares.
Tenth of Ramadan for Pharmaceutical Industries and Diagnostic Reagents (Rameda) increased its capital by 8.204 million pounds, raising the number of shares from 2 billion shares to 2.032817 billion shares.
