Ms. Lubna Al-Olayan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Awwal Bank, announced today the bank's financial results for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026.

Summary of financial results for the first half of 2026:

* Net income after zakat and income tax: increased by 4% to reach 4,417 million Saudi Riyals, compared to 4,262 million Saudi Riyals during the first half of 2025.

* Total operating income: stabilized at 7,275 million Saudi Riyals, slightly down by 1% compared to 7,341 million Saudi Riyals during the first half of 2025.

* Net loans and advances: increased by 13% to reach 320 billion Saudi Riyals, compared to 283 billion Saudi Riyals during the first half of 2025.

* Customer deposits: increased by 15% to reach 342 billion Saudi Riyals, compared to 297 billion Saudi Riyals during the first half of 2025.

* Total equity: increased by 7% to reach 81 billion Saudi Riyals, compared to 76 billion Saudi Riyals during the first half of 2025.

The bank achieved a net income after zakat and income tax of 4,417 million Saudi Riyals for the period ending June 30, 2026, an increase of 4% compared to the same period in 2025. Total operating income remained stable at 7,275 million Saudi Riyals, down by only 1% compared to the same period last year, while operating income during the second quarter rose to 3,663 million Saudi Riyals, an increase of 1% compared to the previous quarter.

Despite ongoing market challenges and a more cautious financing approach, "Al-Awwal" continued to achieve strong financial performance, supported by discipline in executing its strategy, ongoing growth in the loan portfolio, robust fee and commission income, along with a strong financial position. The bank also continued to expand its customer base while maintaining excellent levels of asset quality and capital base.

Commenting on the results, Ms. Lubna Al-Olayan, Chairwoman of Al-Awwal, stated: "Our performance during the first half of the year reflects the strength and diversification of the bank's business model, and the discipline in executing our long-term strategy. Although operating conditions maintained a moderate and deliberate pace across the sector as a whole, we continued to grow our lending portfolio, strengthen customer relationships, and support them in strategic sectors driving the Kingdom's economic transformation journey."

During the second quarter, "Al-Awwal" continued to achieve strong operational performance, supported by stable profitability margins, better performance in fee income, continued high growth in the loan portfolio, maintenance of high credit portfolio quality, and excellent quarterly profit growth. Customer deposits also continued to rise, supporting the expansion of its financial position and strengthening its liquidity position. Despite a general slowdown in market lending growth, "Al-Awwal" continues to capitalize on promising financing opportunities and reaffirms its confidence in sustained long-term credit demand.

The bank's mortgage financing also recorded strong performance, despite the moderate growth pace in the market, reflecting its continued support for customers' homeownership aspirations and contribution to the goals of the Kingdom's housing sector.

The bank enhanced its support for the Kingdom's economic transformation journey by providing financing for landmark projects in strategic sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, housing, and sustainability, reinforcing its role as a trusted financial partner in supporting Saudi Vision 2030 targets.

On the innovation front, "Al-Awwal" cemented its position as one of the leading financial institutions in the Kingdom after recently receiving a number of international awards, including two awards at the Global Banking Awards and two awards at the Global Finance Innovators Awards.
