"Saudi Investment Bank" achieves half-year profit of SAR 1.05 billion, up 3.4%

The Saudi Investment Bank announced a net profit attributable to shareholders of SAR 1.05 billion for the first half ended June 30, 2026, an increase of 3.4% compared to about SAR 1.02 billion for the same period last year.
The profit growth was supported by a 2% increase in total operating income.
The bank explained in a statement on the 'Tadawul' website that the profit growth was supported by a 2% increase in total operating income to SAR 2.16 billion, along with a 1.2% decline in total operating expenses, which contributed to enhancing operational performance during the period.
Net profit before zakat and tax amounted to SAR 1.22 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%, while total special commission income from financing rose 3.6% to SAR 3.66 billion, and special commission income from investments increased 8.4% to SAR 1.24 billion.
The bank noted that net special commission income rose marginally by 0.4% driven by growth in financing and investment returns, while unrealized fair value gains through the income statement, foreign currency exchange fees, banking service fees, and other operating income contributed to revenue growth, despite a decline in gains from derecognition of debt securities at fair value through other comprehensive income.
Earnings per share reached SAR 0.70 during the first half of 2026, compared to SAR 0.68 for the same period in 2025.
On the financial position front, total assets increased by 9.6% to SAR 184.02 billion, while investments grew 8.9% to SAR 47.33 billion. The financing and investment portfolio rose 8.2% to SAR 117.32 billion, while customer deposits recorded strong growth of 21.3% to SAR 121.56 billion.
Total equity increased 8.2% to SAR 17.67 billion, while the net provision for expected credit losses and other losses rose 1.9% to SAR 128.1 million due to growth in the financing and investment portfolio.
In the second quarter of 2026, the bank achieved a net profit attributable to shareholders of SAR 531.1 million, up 3.6% compared to the same period last year, and growth of 2.2% compared to the first quarter of this year. Total operating income for the quarter increased 3.4% year-on-year and 4.7% quarter-on-quarter, supported by growth in unrealized fair value gains, banking service fees, and foreign currency exchange gains.
The bank confirmed that the interim financial statements received an unqualified opinion from the auditor, without any material reservations or notes.
