The Kingdom ranks first regionally in digital government services for the fourth consecutive time

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia maintained the first place in the 2025 E-Government and Mobile Government Services Maturity Index issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), for the fourth consecutive time, after achieving a maturity rate of 99%.

According to a statement received by Argaam, the index covered 17 countries and was based on assessing the maturity of 100 priority government services provided to individuals and businesses through digital platforms and smart applications according to the life events methodology, which measures the level of development of services, their usage rates, and beneficiary satisfaction.

The Kingdom topped 3 sub-indicators of the main indicator, scoring 100% in the service availability and development index, 99% in the service usage and user satisfaction index, and 100% in the public access index.

This performance reflects the development witnessed by digital government services in the Kingdom, through expanding the provision of services through digital platforms in the civil, judicial, health, and customs clearance sectors, supported by the integration of government systems, the use of data and artificial intelligence, and enhancing digital inclusion and ease of access to services, thereby raising the efficiency of government performance and improving the beneficiary experience.

Saudi Arabia topped the ranking of countries in the Middle East and North Africa in digital government services, ahead of the UAE which came in second place with 96%, followed by Qatar with 79%.
