US President Donald Trump said Monday that US ammunition stockpiles at the intermediate and superior levels are higher and better than ever, and that these stockpiles are sufficient to 'successfully fight wars forever,' following reports of concerns over depletion of US interceptor ammunition used to repel Iranian attacks.

He added in a post on Truth Social that he was told Monday that the United States has a 'nearly unlimited stock of these weapons.'

He continued: 'Wars can be fought forever, and with great success, using only these supplies (which surpass the best weapons of other countries!).'

He said that 'at the highest level (superior weapons), we have a good stock, but not at the level we aspire to. There are additional high-quality munitions stored in foreign countries.'

He added: 'Sleepy Joe Biden spent all his time and our country's money giving everything to P.T. Barnum (Zelenskyy!) in Ukraine – hundreds of billions of dollars, and while he was giving away so many high-quality weapons for free, he didn't bother to replace them. Fortunately, the rebuilding of the military in my first term has restored it, and I am continuing that. The United States is equipped and ready to win, and win big!!!'

P.T. Barnum was an American showman, businessman, and politician known for fabricating hoaxes.

Reports had indicated that Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Caine and other officials within the Department of Defense warned Trump before the start of strikes on Iran about the potential strain that a broader operation in Iran could cause on service members and assets deployed in the region, as well as the impact of a prolonged military campaign on US weapons stockpiles, particularly regarding munitions used to support Israel and Ukraine, according to CNN.

Destruction of Iranian command facilities and military airfields

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Tuesday that US forces destroyed command and control facilities of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, as the US and Israeli strikes on Iran entered their fourth day.

It added that air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields were destroyed during ongoing operations in Iran.

It stated that the US military will continue to take 'decisive action against the imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime.'
