US stock indices close lower

New York, July 17 (QNA) - Major indices on the US Wall Street stock exchange closed lower today.

The S&P 500 fell 75.99 points, or 1.01 percent, to close at 7457.78.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped 370.83 points, or 1.40 percent, to 25511.12.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 394.01 points, or 0.75 percent, to 52158.96.
