The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing of Saudi Arabia revealed that the total area of white land covered by development and trading in the Makkah region reached approximately 28 million square meters, an indicator reflecting the growing impact of the implementation of the White Land and Vacant Properties Fee System in stimulating urban development and improving the efficiency of land utilization within urban boundaries, supporting the accelerated urban growth witnessed in the region.

146 million square meters of white land entered the development and trading phase in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia

The ministry explained that these areas include 13 million square meters of fully developed land, 9 million square meters of white land that have entered the trading phase, in addition to 5 million square meters still under development, enhancing the utilization of unused land and contributing to increasing urban and housing supply.

It added that the revenues from white land fees contributed to supporting 14 development and housing projects in the Makkah region.

These results extend what the program has achieved in other regions of the Kingdom, as the areas of white land covered by development and trading amounted to approximately 71 million square meters in the Riyadh region and 146 million square meters in the Eastern Region.
