Northern Border University hosted yesterday the 'Qroom al-Shamal' competition as part of the summer festival activities, with 100 contestants competing in a number of cultural, heritage and creative competitions, along with 60 volunteers participating in organizing and managing the competition events.
The competition aims to develop participants' skills and discover their talents through programs and activities that combine competition and knowledge, and encourage creativity and participation in extracurricular activities.
The competitions include horseback riding, archery, innovation and technology, popular dishes, and Saudi coffee preparation, in addition to a cultural challenge, reflecting the diversity of activities that combine heritage, cultural and cognitive aspects. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Ramih, President of Northern Border University, explained that the competition is part of the university's summer festival activities and contributes to developing talents, enhancing participation in cultural and heritage activities, and providing participants an opportunity to showcase their skills in various fields. He noted that the competition features 100 contestants, while 60 volunteers contribute to organizing and ensuring the success of the events.
