Organizers of the Arab Film Festival announced that the seventh edition kicked off yesterday in Casablanca, Morocco, with the participation of 29 films in the festival's two official competitions, including three Saudi films.

The statement noted that the participating Saudi films are 'A Matter of Life or Death', 'Door', and 'Against Cinema', competing among the works showcased at the festival, which runs until July 24.

The organizing committee added that this edition includes 12 feature-length fiction and documentary films, and 17 short films, along with screenings outside the official competition.

In the same context, the festival is honoring a number of Arab filmmakers in recognition of their contributions to the development of Arab cinema.
