Our Culture.. and the Expansion of Meaning

My previous article published last week under the title (Abrash.. Connotation and Meaning) received positive feedback that extended through private communication via digital media from many segments of society, regardless of their cultural levels and social differences. This confirms the extent of our culture's presence, its circulation, and its effective influence, and that every word, whether formal or colloquial, carries deep connotations that go beyond its literal expression to enhance the concept of collective awareness on one hand, and on the other hand, takes on an aspect of intensification and accumulation for the expansion of meaning, which in turn builds knowledge and gives the recipient a superior ability to read and comprehend reality. Hence, the connotation of the word reaches the mind and heart, and with it the horizon of awareness and meaning expands simultaneously. At the same time, cultural words and phrases reshape societal contexts when they are circulated in a noble cultural and value pattern, making society experience the cultural aspect daily in its reception and even in its handling of a single word in different directions. Thus, it prevents us from deviating from the prevailing cultural pattern or being led into a different cultural subordination. Undoubtedly, this trend enhances our cultural identity and makes it a smooth transition for successive generations. This is what made poetry coexist with this trend, and poets in turn engage with various cultural components, circulating it as a conceptual creativity for a dominant cultural purpose among people. Consequently, the word is reformulated in a creative and original way through its formulation in an impactful poem in various and multiple states and ways, with which the poet strikes the consciences and feelings of society, especially when it comes in the context of chivalry and rescue, making the other party closer to interaction and quicker to belonging, with the growth of intimate relationships between all parties. Strong and influential positive results appear due to the ability to innovate in its new cultural formulation, making it common for a new path with its direct impact. Thus, its new formulation becomes a common and widely circulated cultural reference, following the path of a proverb. In the context of discussing culture, we cite this verse that is almost constantly talked about in all social circles, when the poet said:

Enough, I say enough moves the men... Were it not for the turns of time, I would not have said enough. Here it is clearly evident that the word (enough) was not limited to its ordinary context nor reduced to a simple domain, but rather its connotation transcended its colloquial meaning to a deeper connotation, stimulating a broader scope towards chivalry, rescue, and seeking help and assistance for other human aspects with all their virtues and values. The recipient perceives this with absolute certainty, making interaction quick in facing reality and creating the supporter, helper, and unified models of stances. The word (enough) radiates here with connotation, reveals what is beyond its surface, and uncovers the expansion of meaning conveyed by the discourse through a mental accumulation of a huge surplus of noble meanings that lead to new worlds, forming a circulating system embedded in the conscience and entity of society. This in itself is a standing cultural project achieved through the circulation of such colloquial and widespread terms in the Gulf region, used daily among all segments of society, and with it an innovative project is realized that expresses feelings, visions, and ideas, and with it meaning expands.

In conclusion, our culture plays a vital role in enriching the expansion of meaning, leaving a flashing light in the mind, forming its various connotations through diverse paths with a profound impact embodied within the general context in which words enter, to say some words in order to illustrate all speech.
