Abu Dhabi, April 3, WAM / The cultural program 'Al-Shara,' launched during Ramadan in a joint collaboration between Abu Dhabi Media Company, the Abu Dhabi Cultural and Heritage Programs and Festivals Management Committee, and Baynounah TV, provides a distinguished platform for preserving heritage and strengthening national identity.

The program presents its television content in a modern style and diverse methods within an interactive framework between its host, Hessa Al-Falasi, and the audience of callers and heritage enthusiasts via live phone calls. It features rich questions from Emirati heritage and valuable daily and weekly prizes for viewers, throughout the live episodes aired daily during the holy month of Ramadan at 10:00 PM UAE time on Baynounah and Emirates TV channels.

The program's presenter, media figure Hessa Al-Falasi, poses a set of intriguing heritage questions that highlight customs, traditions, influential historical figures, the history of building castles and towers in the country, as well as Emirati dialect vocabulary, Nabati poetry, proverbs, riddles, stories, details of the old Emirati house, and prominent crafts and handicrafts, among others.

The program includes several daily and weekly segments open to all for participation and winning cash or in-kind prizes. Additionally, several heritage experts participate in the program: Saeed bin Salem bin Lahaij Al-Rumaithi, Mohammed bin Saber Al-Mazrouei, and the preparation team includes Dr. Mazyad Al-Nassrawi, Jassim Al-Kharraz, Al-Hanouf Al-Zaabi, and Amna Al-Maghribi.

Since its launch in 2010, 'Al-Shara' has achieved remarkable success and maintained its position at the forefront of Emirati heritage programs.

The program's success stems from several factors, including its connection to Emirati heritage. It relies on Emirati folk heritage, the country's past rich with names, places, customs, traditions, poetic and architectural legacy, as well as folk handicrafts, heritage cooking arts, proverbs, dialect, and influential figures in the UAE's history and present—topics that suit the nature of Ramadan.

The Abu Dhabi Cultural and Heritage Programs and Festivals Management Committee organizes throughout the year a number of heritage festivals and cultural programs that reflect Abu Dhabi's leading position and its role in enriching the Arab and Gulf heritage and cultural scene.
