(CNN)-- For more than 30 years, Italian model and actress Monica Bellucci has maintained her status as one of the figures most associated with the image of Italian femininity in the worlds of fashion and cinema.

But her style has not remained static; it has transitioned from bold looks relying on revealing cuts and commanding dresses to more classic and elegant choices centered on luxurious fabrics, precisely tailored cuts, and muted neutral tones.

In her latest appearance during the Fendi Fall/Winter 2026-2027 fashion show in the Italian capital Rome, Bellucci chose a look reflecting this new direction: she wore a classic beige suit consisting of a long jacket and wide-leg trousers, paired with a matching bag made of shiny fabric.

During her attendance at the "Cinema Paradiso Louvre × MK2" event in the French capital Paris, she opted for a more casual style, adopting a full denim outfit comprising a button-down jeans shirt with rolled-up sleeves, worn over a black top, with wide-leg jeans.

She then returned to her classic presence with a long black dress featuring a wrap bodice at the waist and long sleeves, during her participation in the "Nouvelle Vague" film festival in the French city of Biarritz.

At the Cannes Film Festival in 2026, she appeared in choices closer to formal style, adopting during a daytime photoshoot a classic look consisting of a white blouse and black jacket, with a large necklace around her neck.

On the red carpet at the same festival, Bellucci chose a long dress with a shirt-style top, adorned with baroque print and black lace, with long sleeves and leather details, in a design reflecting a more modest and luxurious direction.

Bold looks in the early days

But when looking back at her archive, a different phase of Bellucci's style emerges, especially during the 1990s and early 2000s. In 1993, while presenting a design by French designer Guy Laroche during the haute couture shows for the Spring/Summer 1993 season in Paris, she appeared in a look reflecting the spirit of that time, with an orange dress featuring a bare-shoulder cut and a bolder design.

At the premiere of the film "All the Pretty Horses" in New York City, USA in 2000, she chose a formal jacket with a white blouse open at the chest, a blend of masculine tailoring and feminine touch.

During her attendance at a party in Monaco in 2001, Bellucci appeared in a black dress inspired by sleepwear, with a lace-trimmed bodice. The lingerie trend is now making a strong comeback in the fashion world, appearing in numerous looks by stars on the red carpet, especially through silk and satin dresses with lace details.

Returning to her looks at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002, Bellucci wore a white dress with a plunging neckline, decorated with a colored floral print, alongside French actor Vincent Cassel.

Later, during the same screening, she appeared in a black dress with a plunging neckline and side straps, a look that embodied her then-known style based on blending boldness and elegance.
