The Visual Arts Commission concluded the 'Bridges of Art' initiative 2025–2026, after a year of international cultural exchange programs that contributed to enhancing dialogue and exchanging expertise between the visual arts community in the Kingdom and its counterparts around the world, with the participation of 40 male and female artists from Saudis and residents of the Kingdom.

The CEO of the Visual Arts Commission, Dina Amin, said that the 'Bridges of Art' initiative was launched with the aim of creating opportunities with sustainable impact that extends beyond the end of international programs, as participants built valuable professional relationships with their counterparts around the world, while transferring their experiences and highlighting the growing development witnessed by the visual arts sector in the Kingdom, expressing her hope that these connections and dialogues will continue to inspire their future works and projects.

Over 4 programs, the participants explored the experiences of artistic institutions and creative communities in dealing with common issues, including supporting emerging talents, enhancing public participation, preserving cultural heritage, and developing sustainable career paths for workers in the artistic sector. Many of them also expressed interest in artistic residency opportunities and international collaboration programs that allow continued intellectual and professional exchange.

These programs also formed an important platform to introduce international partners to the rapid cultural development in the Kingdom and highlight the Saudi visual arts scene, which contributed to opening new horizons for cooperation and building future professional partnerships.

The 'Bridges of Art' initiative falls within the broader efforts of the Visual Arts Commission to support the professional development of Saudi cultural practitioners, enhance international cultural exchange, and expand global cooperation opportunities in the visual arts sector, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
