(CNN)-- The screenings of the anticipated film 'Samson and Delilah,' starring May Omar and Ahmed El-Awadi, begin in cinemas in Egypt starting Wednesday.

The film is written by Mahmoud Hamdan, screenplay and dialogue by Shady Mohsen and Amjad El-Sharqawy, and also features Mohamed Tharwat, Ahmed Essam El-Sayed, Retail Abdelaziz, Khaled El-Sawy, Ahmed El-Rafei, Essam El-Sakka, and many other actors, under the direction of director Raouf El-Sayed.

The film's plot revolves around 'Samson: Ahmed El-Awadi' and 'Delilah: May Omar,' who compete to steal a 'legendary diamond' and 'their missions intersect amid a chase full of tricks, pranks, and confrontations, leading them to an unexpected love story,' according to the official synopsis.

Recently, the makers of 'Samson and Delilah' released the film's official song titled 'Hobb El Hobb' (Love of Love) performed by Mahmoud El-Esseily and Mahmoud Mohamed Hassan, known as 'Hoda Bondok,' in the first musical collaboration between these two Egyptian artists.
